F1 in Schools!

In the first months of 2024, we supported with our technology a project joined by ITIS De Pretto of Schio titled “F1 in Schools” — a worldwide multidisciplinary challenge in which teams of students from all over the world collaborate to design and build a miniature Formula 1 car powered by compressed air. Each team, made up of 3 to 6 students, creates its own Formula 1 team in every aspect: developing its identity, brand, communication plan, business plan, and producing the cars for competition. The winners go on to represent Italy at the F1 in Schools World Finals. The ITIS De Pretto team, named “Rabbits”, built their car starting from a detailed project that defined roles, goals, budgets, and timelines — an experience that allowed each member to develop valuable cross-disciplinary skills and learn how to manage a project independently. After winning the qualifying rounds in February and advancing through the semifinals held at Ferrari in April, the Schio team achieved second place in the national competition held at Dallara’s headquarters in Parma. Congratulations to these students for demonstrating outstanding teamwork and goal-oriented skills! And congratulations also to our MECC-TRE team, who supported them with their usual technology and professionalism!
